The EDF nuclear power station in Dungeness in Kent, UK may be an exotic place to visit, but it made for an excellent exhibition space. Myself along with other artists from Ashford Visual Artists exhibited our work over a period of months in 2017. EDF was an excellent host, and turned over to us an very large room and adjoining space.
The opening reception was attended by guests and artists and their families, along with 5 of the local mayors. This part of Kent, you may know, is home to the Cinque ports, and it was delight to have Cinque port mayors in attendance.
EDF purchased one of the works for their corporate collection.
I exhibited these pieces, each of which has a connection to energy in some way.
